Visit to NSW DPI – Wagga Wagga

By Lauren DuFall, CEO – February 2024

Alex, Hendry, Uli and Lauren visited the Wagga Wagga Agricultural Institute at NSW DPI.
Edward Asare (PhD student) is based here and settling in well with the kind support of DPI and Nay Chi Khin (Centre Innovation Fellow). It was wonderful to welcome back Deb Slinger, Director of WWAI.

The groups discussed and planned the projects of our two students working with DPI, Alex Jose and Edward Asare with support of their supervisor Ulrike Mathesius. It’s amazing what you can get done in a couple of hours and some focus time in the car. Lucy Darragh (PhD student; Joan Leach) joined us for lunch. We even managed to harvest some nodules from Casuarina from the banks of the Murrumbidgee River for a separate project.
