International Women’s Day – 8 March

By Julie Leroux – Project Officer – March 2024

Caitlin Byrt, Alison Bentley and Joanna Melonek labs organised a morning tea to celebrate the Internation day of Women and Girls in Science. It was truly gratifying to witness the strong support from fellow scientists. What a successful event!

The Training Centre co-hosted a seminar and morning tea event with AFII, led by ANU’s Alison Bentley on Friday 8 March. Thank you to Dr. Janet Salisbury (founder of Women’s Climate Congress) and Dr. Lauren DuFall (CEO Future Crops Centre) for sharing their insightful reflections about the women’s roles in the past and on the ongoing human and planetary wellbeing.
