World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development

Held every year on 21 May, UNESCO leads the celebration of World Day for Cultural Diversity for Dialogue and Development highlighting not only the richness of the world’s cultures, but also the essential role of intercultural dialogue for achieving peace and sustainable development. This year, everyone contributed by bringing a dish from their country and sharing its significance in their culture. We also engaged in a discussion about what culture means to each of us.

It was interesting to discuss our different cultures and amazing to share our different dishes. Julie

Thanks everyone for bringing such amazing food, and for sharing about all of your cultures and languages. It was great to reflect on the diversity of our cultures and how cultures can come together to create more fulfilling lives. Lauren
